This society came into existence with the joint effort & initiative of persons like Mr. Rajendra Bahadur Thapa(Raj Thapa) who was born in Jamunapur, Chitwan, his wife Mrs. Christa Thapa from Heilbronn, Germany and German citizens who love and are concerned about the development of Nepal. JHS is registered with District Administration Office, Chitwan. Its registration number is 82/064/65.
The Society believes in "Unity within diversity"and from the very inception it is committed in achieving social development through integrity & co-existence.
The society aims to develop Jamunapur as a model village within Chitwan district, especially focusing in education, health, communication, transportation and environmental aspects.

Followings are our commitments to achieve our objectives:
1. To conduct plantation and awareness programs in and around Jamunapur village for the conservation & protection of the environment.
2. To conduct literacy classes by identifying illiterate communities & groups to make Jamunapur a fully literate village.
3. To establish Community Library.
4. To publish local magazines to better inform the local community.
5. To establish primary health care center with ambulance services for the local community.
6. To provide economic technical support through agro based & handicraft trainings to improve the income level of Jamunapur village.
7. To felicitate people for their achievements & contributions to the society.
8. To provide trainings for enhancing leadership capacity.
9. To construct community hall in JHS's own property for conducting group discussions, seminars etc.
10. To train volunteers & establish relief funds to provide immediate relief in case of calamities & natural disasters
11. To support in the preservation of historical & cultural heritage.
12. To establish scholarship fund for the meritorious, marginalized & under privileged students.
